/PREPARE to build your SELF-SERVICE FLOW

Assemble your team

Let’s look at people you’ll need on your team in order to stand up your self-service flow as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Depending on the size of your organization, you may have a single person filling multiple roles. That’s fine! We’ll provide you with recommendations about the skills your people resources will need to have to make this process as smooth as possible.

Project Lead

Although your actual title may be Product Owner, Product Manager, Project Manager or something else, if you're the one responsible for coordinating all the moving parts for this implementation, we're going to refer to you as the 'Project Lead' throughout this guide.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate resources and organize activities throughout launch process to ensure timely delivery of all components.

Recommended knowledge/skills:
  • Project management
  • Communication

Executive Sponsor

Designer

Developer

Operations

Support/training

To ensure your DIY flow launches as quickly as possible, you, as the "Project Lead", will help communicate what components of the project can occur simultaneously.

For example, once you and your executive sponsor have a sense of what your clients’ experience should be like, you can have your design resource begin learning the Editor so they can start creating the needed templates. At the same time, your development resource can work on getting the API key and learning the API calls that will power your flow.
