Element stacking direction

Columns and inner columns are containers. This means that these element types can contain widgets and even other containers, or layout elements, inside of them.
Pretty straightforward, huh?

But here's the catch - everything you put inside these containers will align along one axis or direction.  Don't worry, we're not going to revisit the horrors of middle school pre-algebra! Just know that whatever you place inside a column or inner column align in a single direction—either top to bottom (like a... well... column) but also, left to right (like a row).
