/PREPARE to build your SELF-SERVICE FLOW
Prepare to build your Template Chooser
People needed:
Developer
Designer
To build the template chooser for your flow, you’ll need a designer and a developer.
Your developer will use Duda’s API to make your template chooser functional, and you’ll want to have a designer customize the appearance of the template chooser page to match your organization’s design aesthetic.
Duda has a special API call (List Templates) that will return the components you need to build a basic template chooser. This includes: a thumbnail image of your site template, a URL you can use to preview a template, and, most importantly, the unique template ID that is needed in the site creation API call.

The first part of this video describes how this works:
(No need to watch all of this!Try watching the first 30 seconds or so. You can send the whole course to your developer later.)
As the video describes, your developer is going to need the template IDs for the templates you want to include in your template chooser. Every template has its own unique ID. This is what tells the platform which template to use when a new site gets created.
Did you know?
We have a whole course (Integrate the Duda builder into your workflow) designed for your developer to help them get the preliminary API calls up and running as quickly as possible. The video above is from that course.
