If you haven't done so already, jump into the editor and join us as we start the process of creating a site from a pre-designed Editor 2.0 template.

Step 1: Access the site list dashboard and create a new site


  1. Log into the website builder using your credentials.
  2. After logging in, you will be directed to the site list dashboard.
  3. Click 'Create New Site' > 'Start with a template'


Step 2: Browse templates and select an Editor 2.0 template

  1. Use the search bar to type in "Electrician."
  2. Once you’ve found the Electrician template, you have two options: Start Building and Preview. If you’re ready to dive right into customizing, click Start Building. But if you want to get a quick look at the template to see how it’s set up (like checking the layout, design elements, or overall vibe), click Preview. Once you’re done previewing, you can click Start Building to begin customizing.


Step 3: Name your site



Naming your site clearly will help you find your site later.

  1. For this activity, enter a name like "Demo-TemplateTransformation" to identify the project within your site builder.
  2. Note: This site name is distinct from the actual public-facing site name or domain name.
  3. Click 'Start Building' one final time to place the newly created site in your site list and access the editor.
