Layout Elements
/meet editor 2.0
Layout Elements help you group and organize other widgets, giving you greater control over how content appears on your page.
Widgets behave differently depending on the Layout Element they’re placed in. For example, Inner Columns use a flexible layout system that supports both vertical and horizontal alignment. They're ideal when you want to control the direction and alignment of all widgets inside the column at once.
Advanced Grids, on the other hand, offer more granular control, allowing you to position and align each widget individually. While they’re more powerful, they also come with added complexity, making them better suited for intricate, layered layouts.

A note about Layout Element widgets
Most widgets in the widget menu add a visible component to your site when placed on a page. For example, the Accordion widget adds an accordion section, the Icon widget adds an icon, and so on.
Layout Elements
are special tools designed to group and organize other widgets. They give you greater control over how your content is structured and displayed on the page.
How a widget behaves, such as how it aligns, stacks, or resizes, can change depending on the type of Layout Element it's placed in. For example, use an
Inner Column to stack and align content precisely, or use an
Advanced Grid to create overlapping or layered layouts.
To dive deeper into how Layout Elements affect widget behavior, we’ll cover these concepts later in the learning path through the courses
