Create a site from a template
/collect content + create site
Let’s start by creating the site in Duda so we have a place to work.
The site we're going to be building is an informational (i.e., brochure-style) website for a small carpentry business. Let's look through Duda's extensive template library and choose a pre-designed template we can customize.
Choosing an existing template and customizing it to fit your use case is a one way to make the site development process faster.
Note
In this activity, you'll learn to customize a pre-designed template. Starting with a template from our library gives you a fantastic head start. Our designers have already handled the initial layout and optimization for you, so you can build with confidence.
As you browse the templates, don't get hung up on the colors or images; you can easily change all of that later. Instead, focus on the layout and structure to find a design that fits your business needs perfectly.
Remember, you always have other options! If you want more control, you can choose a
wireframe template with pre-built components ready to go, or a completely
empty template to start from scratch.
