Meet Stefan, a skilled carpenter who runs a small, word-of-mouth custom furniture business. Now, he's ready to expand his reach beyond his local community and needs a professional website to showcase his work.


Throughout this course, we'll be working with Stefan. We'll help him build a website that not only highlights his incredible craftsmanship but also gives him the tools to manage his business online. You'll learn how to transform his vision into a stunning, functional site that helps his business grow.

For this project, we’re going to assume a few things:


  1. You’ve already met with the owner of the small carpentry business — Stefan — to understand his business and his goals for the site.

  2. You’ve been given a brief with the information from that call including: details about the business, a sitemap, desired copy, deliverables, and fictional timelines.

  3. You’ve already worked with Stefan to collect text and images he  wants to include in his site.

As the person responsible for building the site, you are given all of the pieces you’ll need: 


  • A portion of a project brief 
  • this document also includes all the copy that will be needed for the site; just copy and paste!
  • A completed mockup of the home page (see PDF in .zip file provide below)
  • A folder containing all the images that will be used in the site (download below!)
